Hi Peggy. I just sent you an email (peggy@image2000.com) about the Van Atta Family geneology that you have listed on Roots. Harry Byron Van Atta is my great grandfather. It is rather amusing to me that you also have tatting listed on your website. I taught myself to tat becuase my mom has so many beautiful examples of tatting from Harry’s wife Pearl Furtwangler Van Atta, my great-grandmother, whom I was named after (Gretchen mean “little pearl”). I called her GG. Tatting is a rather delicate and time consuming art. I love to see it being passed on.

Hi Gretchen,
I’ve gotten your email, and I’ll be replying very soon. I’ve been ill. It’s slowed me waaaaaayyyy down! LOL. Thanks for the kind comments on the tatting. 🙂 Talk soon Vanatta cousin!!! 🙂 Peg
